1780-1783 Minute Book
March 12th, 1782 Listing

NEWS: We are currently uploading digital photographs of the pages so that you can view and copy the actual entries. Because there are over 80 photographs that encompass the entries from March to April, this project will take a while to complete. Thanks for your patience.

Justices Present:
Leven Powell, Hardage Lane, John Tyler, John Lewis,
Jonathan Davis, William Stanhope, Thomas Respess

Sequential order according to entries

Please note: The entry numbers themselves were NOT necessarily written in sequence by the Clerk of Court, and Researchers are urged to look through the entire table. Also the page containing entries #126 through #173 was missing from the Minute Book; however, a few of those numbers are found in the March 13th listing.

CODE

[ ] Editor's comment. Used to fill in information that was originally abreviated, or to detail additional information for the researcher beyond that of the entry.
/ Used to determine shillings and pence. For example: 100 pence = 1 pound sterling, 12/ = 12 shillings, and /4 = 4 pence. 6/4 or 6..4 = 6 pounds 4 shillings. Likewise 6/4/3 or 6..4..3 = 6 pounds 4 shillings 3 pence.
d Pence (another designation)
p Per. Also found as "pr", and sometimes spelled in the entirety "per" (usually after lunch when the clerk was rested and there weren't as many people standing in line to turn in their certificates).
@ At. Designated in book by the letter "a", but substituted here to prevent confusion.
